OUR CHIP BASKET.

Mrs. Gilmore died in the Fifth Ward near the Altoona Car Works, last
week, in destitute circumstances.  Added to disease and poverty was
the thought of cruel desertion, rendering her last hours miserable in
the extreme.  Perhaps she has a better home now.
