We are called upon to chronicle the sudden death of a near neighbor and friend in the person of Mrs. Lydia Ginter, wife of Charles Ginter, of this place. It is very true in the midst of life we are in death. Mrs. Ginter had been ailing for some time, but not thought to be serious until about three weeks ago when she was taken ill with what was thought to be neuralgia but turned to menetis of the brain. She was unconscious from Tuesday up till the time of her death, which occurred on Friday night about 9 o'clock, when her spirit fled to the God who gave it. She leaves to mourn her loss as a loving wife, mother and sister, a husband and five children, one son and four daughters, the eldest being 14 and the youngest 4 years old; also her mother, four brothers and three sisters who have the sympathy of the entire community. Mrs. Ginter was aged 33 years. The funeral took place on Sunday at 2 o'clock. Services were held at the house. A few brief remarks were made by Thomas Bookhamer after which the Knights of the Golden Eagle took charge of the funeral. The remains were laid to rest at Royer's cemetery. Mr. Ginter desires to return his heartfelt and sincere thanks to the neighbors and ladies who so kindly aided and assisted him during the sickness and death of his wife; also to J. C. Isenberg, superintendent for his kindness toward him. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday, November 11, 1890
