Death of Charles E. Gipe.

  At 1.45 o'clock yesterday afternoon Mr. Charles E. Gipe, died at the 
residence of his parents, 215 Lexington avenue, aged 20 years.  In 
January last the deceased was injured by a hammer falling on his head 
while he was working in putting up a signal tower near Pittsburgh and 
from the effects of which he never recovered.  He was the son of J. F. 
and Mary Gipe and besides his parents leaves one brother - Francis - 
and four sisters - Annie, Magge [sic], Alice and Stella - to mourn 
their loss.  He was a consistent member of St. Mark's Catholic church.  
His funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Services 
will be held in St. Mary's church and the interment will be made in St. 
Mary's cemetery.
