GLASS Funeral services and interment will be held tomorrow for Howard G. Glass, of Box 76, Tyrone RD 4, who died Monday at Altoona Veterans Hospital at 4:05 p.m. He was born Sept. 17, 1895 in Altoona, a son of Ulysses Grant and Emma Rager Glass. He married Violet Esther Kling on Jan. 31, 1947 in Altoona. She died Jan. 12, 1968. Surviving are three stepsons, Ebert Parson, Altoona; Cameron Parson, of Hollidaysburg, and Eugene Parson, of Bellwood. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Ovah C. Anderson, with whom he resided. He retired in 1960 from the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. Samuel Rea Shops, as a machinist. Prior to working for the P.R.R. he had been a motorman for the Altoona & Logan Valley Electric Railway. He was a veteran of World War I, serving with the 655th Aero Supply Squadron. He was a member of the Sixth Avenue Church of the Brethren, Altoona. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Krish Funeral Home, Altoona, in charge of the Rev. Guy S. Fern. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Altoona. Friends will be received this evening from 7 to 9 o'clock and on Thursday until 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The American Legion will conduct graveside military service.
