LOUIS H. GLASS JR.

Of 902 21st Ave., died at his home at 4:43 a.m. today after an extended 
illness. He was born March 28, 1886, in Altoona, a son of Louis H. and 
Alice (Walters) Glass, and was twice married, first to Margaret 
McFarline who died June 8, 1958, and then to Mrs. Frances Shelow on 
July 2, 1962. Surviving are his wife, one grand-daughter, Sonja Glass 
of Washington, D.C., and two brothers and five sisters, Mrs. Minnie 
Wolf, Daniel L. and Hasler, all of Altoona, Mrs. Iva Jones of 
Clearwater, Fla., Mrs. Mabel Stevens of Cooperstown, N.Y., Mrs. Alma 
Balwin of Monterey Park, Calif., and Mrs. Alice Olson of Philadelphia. 
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, the Golden Age Club and 
the Blair County Game, Fish and Forestry Association. He was a gang 
foreman and machinist for the P.R.R. retiring Feb. 1, 1954, after 50 
years of service. Friends will be received at the Gilden-Barton Funeral 
Home from 7 to 10 p.m. tomorrow and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday.
