All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ TYRONE A letter confirming the death in action of Sergeant Simeon Glassco, son of William Glassco of this place, was received yesterday by the young soldier's sister, Mrs. Herbert Gibson, from the War department and reads as follows: "I deeply regret to inform you that Sergeant Simeon H. Glassco, Company E, 131st infantry, was killed in action September 26th, 1918. Notification to this effect was sent by telegraph to his father, Mr. William Glassco, 1449 Logan avenue, Tyrone, Pa., the emergency address left by Sergeant Glassco. For more information and details concerning his death, you should write to his commanding officer. Respectfully yours, M. F. Cronin, adjutant General, Washington, D.C., December 6, 1918."
