He was a son of William and Elizabeth Godfrey and was born in Johnstown Aug. 20, 1909. He was a graduate of the Hollidaysburg High school in the class of 1927 and a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and of the Holy Name society. Surviving are his wife, Olena (Harker) Godfrey, one daughter, Rose Marie Godfrey, his mother and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Adda Daus and Paul and Salem Godfrey, all of Brush Mountain road, Leo Godfrey of Johnstown, Mrs. James Arthur of Hanover, Phalen Godfrey of Hollidaysburg, and John C. Godfrey of York. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. GODFREY - Funeral services for Bernard Francis Godfrey of Brush Mountain road, Hollidaysburg, will be conducted Friday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Mary's Catholic church, Hollidaysburg. Interment in St. Patrick's cemetery, Newry. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. Altoona Mirror, June 23, 1943
