HOLLIDAYSBURG.

  Mrs. Mary Goodfellow, wife of William H. Goodfellow, an Altoona 
hardware merchant, died at noon yesterday at her home, on East
Allegheny street, Hollidaysburg, after an illness of several weeks.
The deceased was a daughter of Ephraim and Charity Hartman, and was
born at Columbia, Pa., Nov. 28, 1842. She had been a resident of this
place since 1862, and was highly esteemed for her many Christian
virtues.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian church and always
took an active interest in charitable work.  In 1866 she was married
to Mr. Goodfellow and was the mother of five children, all living -
Port, of Altoona; Frank, Louis, Emma and Sarah, all of Hollidaysburg. 
She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. R. M. Bond, Mrs. Frank
Knight and Miss Kate Hartman, all of Nashville, Tenn.  The funeral
services will be conducted at the home tomorrow afternoon at 4.
Private interment will be made in the Presbyterian cemetery.
