At the residence of her uncle, Mr. H. B. Jacobs, 1004 1/2 Fifth avenue, at 9:45 o'clock last evening, Mrs. Etta Murray Gordon departed this life and entered into rest, aged 27 years. Her illness had been quite prolonged, and during part of the time her sufferings were very intense. The immediate cause of her death was pernicious aenaema [anemia]. Her passing away was tranquil and painless. Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been completed, but full particulars will be published in this paper to-morrow. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday, August 2, 1899 Funeral of Mrs. Gordon. Funeral services for Mrs. Etta Virginia Gordon will be held at the home of her uncle, Mr. H. B. Jacobs, 1004 1/2 Fifth avenue, at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Mrs. Gordon was the daughter of John B. Murray, deceased, and his wife, (now Mrs. Cynthia Worley). She was a native of Altoona, and made her home here until a few years ago, when, with her mother, she moved to Pittsburg, where she was married to Mr. W. J. Gordon about a year ago. Previous to the time of moving away from this city she was a member of the Second Presbyterian church. Services will be conducted by Rev. Henry Howard Stiles, assisted by Rev. Thomas S. Wilcox.
