GORITY Of 1524 Seventeenth avenue, died at the Pittsburgh Veterans hospital at 3:10 o'clock yesterday afternoon after a lengthy illness. He was born in Altoona Oct. 20, 1901, the son of James and Rosetta (Gibboney) Gority. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna M.(Kuhn) Gority: eight children, Joseph of South Gate, Calif., Mrs. Catherine Harden of Maryville, Tenn., Raymond in the air force, Clement H., Miss Regina, John, Michael and Mrs. Mary Ann Schmidhammer of Altoona, nine grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: James, Vincent, Clarence, Charles, a twin brother, Regis and Mrs. Mary Buchanan, all of Altoona. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Holy Name society, American Legion, and was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Seabees. Friends will be received at the Jones funeral home after 7 O'clock tomorrow evening.
