All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ THOMAS GORITY, A well-known resident of the Fifth ward, died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Ann Gority, 1201 Seventeenth street, this morning at 8 o'clock. He was taken sick about a month ago, and for three weeks was confined to his bed. Deceased was born in this city, April 27, 1866, and until taken sick was employed as a machinist in the Juniata shops. He was quiet and unassuming and was highly esteemed by his shopmates and friends. He was a member of St. John's Catholic church, Young Men's institute and the Pennsylvania relief association. Mr. Gority was married and resided at 1807 Twelfth avenue, but on account of his wife and two children being sick when he was taken with the fever, went to his mother's home. He is survived by his wife and five children; also by his mother and these brothers and sisters: John and James, of this city, and Clement, a member of the Andrews Stock company, playing at Lowell, Mass; Regina, at home, Annie of Pittsburg, and Sister Beatrice, of Pittsburg.
