Goshorn of Bellwood, received a message from the United States army hospital at Atlanta, Ga., yesterday, conveying the sad news of the death of their daughter, Miss Ethel May Goshorn, a nurse in the army hospital. The parents were unaware of their daughter's illness, and the news came as a distinct shock to the parents and friends. Miss Goshorn entered the United States army as a nurse two months ago, being sent to Atlanta. She was ill several days upon arriving at the institution but recovered and was assigned to work in the hospital, the parents hearing from her but recently. The telegram received yesterday fails to give the cause of death or length of illness. The body will be brought to Bellwood and will be interred early next week. The funeral will be held from the parents' home. Ethel May Goshorn was born on Oct. 1, 1895, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Goshorn and was well known in Bellwood. She was a graduate of the Children's Homeopathic hospital, Philadelphia, in the class which left the institution on Aug. 23, 1918. Miss Goshorn entered the Red Cross services immediately afterward and then the army nursing corps. Surviving are the parents in Bellwood, a brother, Earl M. with the 29th field hospital corps, in France, Miss Ruth, directress of nurses at the Children's Homeopathic hospital, Philadelphia, Roy, a student at the Hahnemann Medical college, Philadelphia, and Charlotte, Marietta, Blaine, Robert and Eleanor, all at home.
