GRANT, Died at his home, 906 Third street, Juniata, yesterday afternoon, death being caused by cancer after an illness of several months. He was born Feb. 27, 1864, Pittsburgh. Most of his life was spent in Altoona, he being formerly employed as a railroad conductor and later as a carpenter. He was married twice. His first wife being Miss Amanda Reffner of Harrisburg. He is survived by his second wife, Mrs. Louis Barkley Grant, and the following children and step-children: James, Cloyd, Howard and Charles Grant, Mrs. E. H. Brede and Mrs. Leo Weible, all of Altoona, Mrs. Laura Yeager, A. W., G. M., and H.*. Barkley, all of Juniata. One brother, John R. Grant, and one sister, Mrs. *.*. Miller, both of Altoona, and twelve grandchildren also survive. He was a member of the Methodist church of McKees Rocks and of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen. Funeral services will be conducted at the home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. *.C. Mizener, pastor of Grace Evangelical church, will officiate and interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery.
