Grass, died suddenly and unexpectedly at her home here on Julian street on Sunday morning at 3 o'clock. Death was due to chronic myocarditis. Deceased was a life long resident of this place. She was the daughter of W. S. and Elizabeth Breidenthal and was born near Martinsburg March 30, 1846. On January 27, 1885, she was united in marriage to Cephas H. Grass. Her sudden death was a great shock to many friends who believed her to be in reasonable good health. Mrs. Grass was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at this place and a teacher of the Beginners class in the Sunday school for many years. She was faithful in attendance and will be missed in the church and Sunday school as well as the community. Besides the husband she is survived by the following brother and sisters: E. G. Breidenthal, Mrs. Martha Trout and Misses Maggie and Mary Bridenthal. Funeral services were conducted at the church Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock by her pastor, Rev. C. B. Littleton.
