MAME (BURNS) GRAU Of 211 6th Ave., died at 4:50 a.m. today in the Altoona Hospital, where she was admitted March 2, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Altoona June 11, 1881, a daughter of William and Emma (Weyant) Burns, and married Carl M. Grau, who died in 1918. Surviving are a son, Carl M., in the Air Force on the Azores Islands; two grandsons, two sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Laura Burket of Claysburg, Samuel I., Mearl E., Francis E., Clyde M., and Mrs. Catharine Ostrander of the city. She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, the B. of R. T. Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors, Pythian Sisters and Rebekahs. She had been employed for 35 years in the O. H. Kyle paper store, until retiring in 1953, and by Karp, Inc. Friends will be received at the Gilden-Barton Funeral Home after 7 p.m. tomorrow.
