All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Anthony Graupensberger Died Yesterday Morning Yesterday morning at 9 o'clock Anthony Graupensberger, a respected resident of the Fourth ward, died at his home, 1325 Third avenue, of diabetes, after an illness of eleven months. The deceased was born in Bavaria, Germany, January 6, 1823. He came to America in 1853 and was shortly afterwards settled in Hollidaysburg where he resided until 1870, when he took up his residence in this city. For a number of years he was employed as a watchman by the Pennsylvania Railroad company. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and the Pennsylvania Railroad Relief association. One son, George, of this city; three brothers and a sister in Germany survive. The funeral will take place Monday morning, mass to be celebrated in St. Mary's Catholic church; interment in St. Mary's cemetery. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday, August 19, 1899
