GRAY Well known retired Pennsylvania railroad employe and member of the Hollidaysburg borough council, of 320 Bedford street, Hollidaysburg, died this morning at 2.40 o'clock in the Altoona hospital where he was admitted as a medical patient this week. He was a son of Frank and Jane (Lowe) Gray and was born at Williamsburg Jan. 29, 1878. He was united in marriage with Miss Gertrude Reffner and had been employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company in Altoona for many years, retiring only a few months ago. Mr. Gray had been a resident of Gaysport, Hollidaysburg, for many years, and eight years ago was elected a member of the borough council from Gasport, the Sixth ward of Hollidaysburg, and served two terms in council and was a candidate for the Republican nomination at the coming primary election for a third term. He was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are his wife and these brothers and sisters: Gilbert Gray of Juniata, George Gray and Mrs. Olive Delozier, both of Canoe Creek, Charles Gray of McKee, Mrs. Harry Strayer, Mrs. J. M. Snyder and Murry Gray, all of Altoona, Mrs. Adam Winters of Hollidaysburg and Mrs. H. A. Croft of Oil City. Mr. Gray was a progressive citizen in his home community and served for many years on the Republican county committee. GRAY - Funeral services for Samuel C. Gray will be conducted at the home, 320 Bedford street, Hollidaysburg, Monday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in charge of Rev. Richard H. Meyers. Interment in Greenlawn cemetery, Roaring Spring.
