In early life he was a farmer at Warriorsmark. During the war he served in Company B, 192nd Pa. Vols. He leaves a wife and three sons: J. M. of Gallitzin, W. C. of Tyrone and Charles of Wellsville, O. Two brothers also survive, Gideon of Tyrone, and Israel who farms at Coleman's mill near Altoona. He was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church. The remains were interred in the Tyrone cemetery yesterday. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Monday, November 4, 1895
