GREEN. - In this city, Thursday evening, October 31, 1872, Wm. Green, Jr., aged 24 years and 7 months. But a few weeks since and this young man had promise of a successful and honorable life of many years duration; but a few weeks since he passed among us the beloved of all who knew him. Possessed of rare mental faculties, or a vigorous and powerful intellect, strengthened and developed by careful and persistent study, and all this elevated and governed by the purest devotion to his religion and the precepts of a righteous soul, it is little wonder that the wail of sorrow should be heard around his bier, and the tears of broken hearts should fall upon his tomb. But he is gone, and the pure, white snow will fall lightly upon his narrow earth-home, and the winds will sweep --- the little mound, but the loved one will rest, while his example can never die. His remains were interred in the Catholic Cemetery, at Blairsville, Indiana Co. Altoona Sun, Altoona, Pa., Friday morning, November 8, 1872
