GREENE For many years a resident of this city, being employed at the Rothert furniture store, died yesterday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the home of his son, Roy A. Greene, 519 Main street, Roaring Spring, death being attributed to a complication of ailments. Mr. Greene had been living at the son's home for the past several months. He was a native of Bloomfield township, Bedford county, and was born on April 21, 1863, the son of Abram and Sarah Grove Greene. His early life was spent at McKee where the family resided for many years while the iron works there was in operation. He was united in marriage with Rachel Shiffler, who preceded him in death many years ago. Surviving is one son, Roy A. Greene, at whose home he died, and one granddaughter, Mrs. Sarah Cody of Belle, W.Va., and these sisters and brothers: Mrs. Cora Dodson of Duncansville, Mrs. W. H. Walker of Reading, Mrs. Harry Marsden of Altoona, A. G. Greene of Detroit, Collins D. Greene of Roaring Spring and Elmer E. Greene of Altoona. Friends are being received at the son's home in Roaring Spring after 4 o'clock this afternoon. GREENE - Funeral services for Allison L. Greene will be conducted Monday morning at 10.30 o'clock at the home of his son, Roy A. Greene, 519 Main street, Roaring Spring, in charge of Rev. W. W. Banks. Interment in Greenlawn cemetery, Roaring Spring. Friends are being received at the Roy A. Greene home after 4 o'clock today. Altoona Mirror, March 22, 1941
