GRIFFITH Of 709 9th Avenue, Juniata, died 5:15 p.m., yesterday, Oct. 4, 1972, in Altoona Hospital, where he was admitted Sept. 6, after a lengthy illness. He was born Dec. 27, 1889, in Reynoldsdale, a son of J. Grant and Leah (Crissman) Griffith, and married Mary C. Spuhler on April 12, 1910, in St. Mark's Parsonage,Altoona. Surviving are his wife, five children Wilbur R., Harold C. of Janesville, Wis., C. Richard of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Margaret C. Wolf and James E. of Altoona; nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Griffith retired in 1954 as a machinist in the E & M shops of the PRR after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Friends will be received in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
