GRIFFITH Mrs. Griffith, 94, of 825 40th St., formerly of 709 9th Ave., Juniata, died at 6 a.m. today, Feb. 21, 1984, in Altoona Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born Sept. 24, 1889, in Altoona, the daughter of Frederick and Catherine (Recktenwald) Spuhler, and April 12, 1910, in Altoona, married Charles W. Griffith, who died Oct. 5, 1972. Surviving are four sons: Wilbur R. of Denver, Colo.; Charles R. of Baltimore, Md.; James E., with whom she had resided, and Harold C. of Janesville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Griffith was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Juniata. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata. GRIFFITH - The funeral of Mrs. Mary Griffith of 825 40th st. will be held with a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Juniata. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.
