Grimm Ferdinand Paul Grimm, Tyrone RD 1, Box 76-A, Birmingham, died Friday at 10:45 a.m. at Altoona VA Hospital following a brief illness. He was born November 16, 1905 at East Wilmerding, Allegheny County, a son of Ferdinand and Helena Wharton Grimm. He was married June 2, 1969, at Tyrone to Mary Geminor. She died last November 24. Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Paul G., of Bald Eagle, Tyrone RD 3; Mrs. Michael (Catherine) Starzeski, of Tyrone; Mrs. James (Madeline) Kingston, of Tyrone; Joseph, of Tyrone RD 1; Robert, of Long Island, New York; John, of Phoenix, Arizona. Five brothers preceded him in death. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church and of Anderson-Denny Post 4559 Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Blazing Arrow Hook & Ladder Fire Co. and the Osceola Mills American Legion post. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the European and African Theaters. He retired at Westvaco Corp. in 1970, as a machinist after 25 years of service. Funeral mass will be said Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church, the Reverend John Sasway celebrant. Friends will be received at the Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tyrone Daily Herald, December 11, 1976, page 2
