MARIAN PEARL GRIMM

Of 5424 Grandview Ave., died at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 1977, in her 
home, after an extended illness. She was born May 20, 1889 [sic: 
probably 1899], at Roaring Spring RD, a daughter of Joseph and Viola 
(Helsel) Dodson, and married William E. Grimm on Nov. 20, 1919, in 
Cumberland, Md. Surviving are her husband, four children, Mrs. Ruby 
Anderson, Jack W. and Mrs. Shirley Holland of Altoona, and Robert E. of 
Mountaintop; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and six brothers 
and sisters, Mrs. Josephine Showalter and Mrs. Beatrice Smith of East 
Freedom RD. Mrs. Bernadine Jones and Harry V. of Altoona, Charles H. of 
Washington, D.C., and Levi H. of Largo, Fla. Mrs. Grimm was a member of 
the Twenty-eighth Street Church of the Brethren and Helping Hand Sunday 
School Class. She had been a volunteer worker at Altoona VA Hospital. 
Friends will be received in the Warren H. Replogle Funeral Home from 3 
to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
