GROSSMAN Of 153 Broad street, Hollidaysburg, former resident of Williamsburg, died at the Altoona hospital at 3:50 o'clock yesterday morning. He suffered a stroke Sunday afternoon, and was removed to the hospital. He was born at McAlevys Fort, Huntingdon county, Aug. 30, 1867, son of Jacob and Martha (Cohen) Grossman and married Jennie A. Henderson Oct. 30, 1894, at Ennisville, Huntingdon county. Surviving are one son, James H., of Hollidaysburg, with whom he made his home; two step-sons, R. A. Gearhart of Lakemont and G. A. Gearhart, of Indianapolis, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Methodist church at Williamsburg and the Men's Bible class. He was retired chipper foreman of West Virginia Pulp & Paper company. Friends will be received at the Friedline funeral home, Williamsburg. Altoona Mirror, December 27, 1949, Page 14
