Grove, brief mention of whose death appeared in Tuesday's issue of the Tribune, was born in this city, June 27, 1875. He was a son of Dr. George W. Grove, a former well known practitioner of the city, and Anna Rebecca Grove, both deceased. He spent his childhood in this city and in Lilly, where the family resided for a time. On attaining manhood's estate he came to this city and for a number of years was employed by the Pennsylvania railroad air brake shop. Four years ago he moved to Braddock, remaining there one year, going from there to Philadelphia, where he resided until his death which occurred on Monday, June 8, at 11 a.m., after a short illness. Deceased was married on October 8, 1904, to Miss Sallie Trimble, of Birmingham, who survives. One child, Jean, died just one month ago. Besides his wife he is survived by the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Sarah Rhodes, of Youngstown, O.; Mrs. James Stiffler, of Girard, O.; Mrs. Blanche Peddicord, of McKees Rocks; Mrs. W. H. Beatty, of Philadelphia; Charles, of Pittsburg and William, present address unknown. The remains were brought to this city on Tuesday afternoon, arriving in this city at 3:20 o'clock. Funeral services were conducted at the Stevens undertaking parlors yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Thursday, June 11, 1914
