Guerin, 55, of 1814 Second Street, Altoona, PA died at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2005 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Robert and Mabel (Hugar) Guerin. He was married December 19, 1992 at Philipsburg, PA to Rose A. Morningstar. He is survived by his wife Rose and two daughters: Heather Mercer of Altoona and Holly Guerin of Rifle, Colorado. Two step-children: Sean Homan serving with the U.S. Navy on the H. S. Truman and Cycilia Hunter of Panama City, Florida. Five grandchildren and four sisters and two brothers: Doris Runk of Altoona, James Guerin of Charleroi, PA; Ronald Guerin of Virginia, Ruth Nail of Tyrone, Polly Sigrist of Ashville, PA and Sarah Jane Long of Tyrone. He was a graduate of Altoona High School and served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam era. He was a professional welder and iron worker employed by L.S. Fiore Construction, Inc. for many years. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 13, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Norman Marden officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9. Tyrone Daily Herald, June 11, 2005
