The Altoona tribune. (Altoona, Pa.), May 31, 1860
Died in this place, on the 24h inst., Mrs. Catharine, consort of Joshua Hooper, in
the 62nd year of her age. The subject of the above notice suffered long and
painfully from Pneumonia, which terminated fatally in the complete exhaustion of the
bodily functions… The deceased has left behind her a wide circle of weeping friends,
an aged husband, and a number of children grown to man and womanhood...
