He retired as a blacksmith for the Pennsylvania railroad in June, 1945, after 41 years of service. He was born in Gettysburg, a son of Abram and Mary Jane (Weirman) Hake. Surviving are his wife, the former Rae Spinney; a son and two daughters, Abram H. Hake, Mrs. Ann Louise Wyper and Mrs. Cleo V. Biseli, all of Lakemont; a step-son, Lt. William John Hamilton, United States marine corps, of Santa Anna, Calif.; one grandchild, and three sisters, Mrs. R. B. McClean of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Harry L. Snyder of Gettysburg and Cleo B. Hake of Altoona. He was a member of the Lakemont Church of God, Friends may call at the Lafferty funeral home after 7 o'clock Sunday evening.
