He also leaves a sister, Mrs. James Cullen, of Spruce Creek. The funeral will be held to-morrow morning at 9 o'clock in the Sinking Valley Catholic church, to be conducted by Rev. Father Kittell, of this place, at the conclusion of which the interment will take place in the Catholic cemetery at Sinking Valley. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday, February 17, 1891 FROM SINKING VALLEY. Our people were very sorry to learn of the death of Mr. William Halen, of Antis township. Mr. Halen had been a resident of our valley for several years prior to last spring, at which time he moved to the place presently occupied by the family. Many did not even know of his sickness, therefore the news of his death was quite unexpected. He has been a sufferer from a disease which removes many from the labors of life. Mr. Halen was a member of the Catholic church and a good neighbor. His death will be a loss to the community as well as a great loss to the family. A wife and several children mourn his death. May their loss be his gain. The funeral took place on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Services were held in the Catholic church. Interment in the cemetery adjoining.
