All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ LUTHER LESLIE HALL Luther Leslie Hall, a respected citizen of our community, died at his home at 1238 Washington avenue yesterday morning at 11.20 a.m., death being the result of apoplexy. Luther Leslie Hall was born near Spruce Creek, April 30, 1851, and was the son of the late John and Sarah Hall. On September 25, 1906, he was united in marriage with Mary Minnemeyer, who survives to mourn the loss of a loving husband. Mr. Hall was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church and a strict adherent to its principles and teachings. He was an upright Christian man, and he was loved and respected by everyone. The greater part of his life was spent in Spruce Creek and Warriorsmark valleys, where he was known to a large circle of loving friends who mourn the loss of a true friend. In September, 1918, he moved to Tyrone and since that time has been a trusted employee of the West Virginia Pulp and Paper company. Deceased is survived by his wife and the following sisters: Mrs. Lucy Snyder, of Scranton; Mrs. Robert Malaker, of Warriors Mark; and Mrs. Rachael Watson, of Altoona. Funeral services will be held at the home on Washington avenue on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Victor Nearhoof, of the Millerstown Methodist church.
