Hall, 96, of 901 West 15th Street, Tyrone, died Sunday, February 16, 2003 at 12:05 a.m. at Epworth Manor. He was born August 7, 1906 in Lancaster, a son of William Henry and Harriet (Cheever) Hall. On September 12, 1936 at the First Methodist Church Parsonage, Tyrone, he married Mildred Jane Haupt. She passed away on December 11, 1992. Surviving is a son, William Ralph Hall and wife Shirley of Tyrone and a granddaughter Jennifer R. Kocher and husband Jon of Camp Hill. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Andrea Marie Hall. Mr. Hall retired in 1971 from John C. Yenter Associates, Tyrone as a construction estimator following 30 years of service. He was a 1925 graduate of Tyrone High School and a 1926 graduate of Rochester Business Institute, Rochester, NY. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Tyrone since 1929, the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company, the Board of Directors of Camp Anderson Corporation, AARP, and the Reliance Savings Bank Advisory Board, Altoona. Prior to its merger with Improvement Building and Loan, Tyrone, he was a member of the Central Building and Loan Board of Directors and prior to its merger with Reliance Savings Bank, Altoona, he was a member of the Improvement Building and Loan Advisory Board, Tyrone. He was a Past Commander, Chaplain and Trustee of the Howard Gardner American Legion Post #281, and had been a Past Deputy Commander of the American Legion District 21. He was a US Army veteran, serving as a Private First Class with Company F, 275 Infantry, 70 Division. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 19, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Robert E. Dunkelberger officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery. Friends will be received at Feller Memorial Home on Wednesday from 7- 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Tyrone Daily Herald, February 17, 2003
