William Halligan, well known passenger conductor on the Tyrone division of the Pennsylvania railroad, died at his home in Tyrone Tuesday night at 10 o'clock of heart trouble and hardening of the arteries. He has not been well for a year, but continued on his run up to a week ago. He was aged 62 years and is survived by three sisters, with whom he resided, and two brothers, all of whom reside in Tyrone. The funral occurred at Tyrone on Friday. (Mr. Halligan was an intimate friend of Col. H. W. Shoemaker, president of Altoona Times-Tribune company, who was greatly shocked and grieved to learn the sad news.)
