All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Mrs. Annie Nora Hamel, a well known resident of Millerstown, died Saturday morning, at 2:35 o'clock, at the home of her father, J. M. Smouse of Henrietta, R. D. 1. Her death was due to heart disease. She had been ailing for some time but was in apparent regular health when the death angel called. She was born March 6, 1875, near where she resided, and in 1896 was united in marriage with B. W. Hamel of Duncansville. To this union were born six children, three of whom preceded her to the grave some years ago. She was a faithful member of the Mount Pleasant Reformed church and a member of the Ever Faithful Bible class of the Mount Pleasant Sunday school. She was a cheerful neighbor, loving mother and will be missed in the church and community. She is survived by her aged father, J. M. Smouse, and three children: Mrs. S. W. Ritchey of Martinsburg, R.D. 1, Alice of Hollidaysburg, Theodore of Henrietta. One sister and three brothers survive, Mrs. L. H. Mounts of Hollidaysburg, A. J. Smouse of Sparks, Nevada, D. G. Smouse of Henrietta and G. F. Smouse of Hollidaysburg. Two grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock, at the Mount Pleasant Reformed church at Millerstown, in charge of her pastor, Rev. J. W. Albertson.
