Hamer, of this city, died at Georgetown, S.C., at 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Brett. Death was due to bronchitis, from which she had suffered during the last five years. Her demise was quite sudden, as she was stricken while on a visit, having gone to Georgetown for her health on December 12. Mrs. Hamer resided in Altoona since 1911 with her daughter, Mrs. J. F. Kennedy, 1410 Nineteenth avenue. The deceased was born at Bellwood June 22, 1852, her maiden name being Miller. She was married to John C. Hamer on November 25, 1876 and resided in Huntingdon until his death in 1911. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Walter Brett, of Georgetown, S.C.; Mrs. Ard Whitesel, Huntingdon, and Mrs. Kennedy, this city. These brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Kate Miller, Tyrone; William Miller, Warrirosmark; Andrew Miller, Jersey Shore, and Mrs. William Young and Mrs. Amos Rhinehart, of Bellwood. She was a member of the First Lutheran church, Huntingdon. The body will be brought to Huntingdon this evening at 5 o'clock, where services and interment will take place.
