Both Asbury and Addison Hamil, Who Were So Badly Burned on Saturday Night, Died at the County Home. The Hamil brothers, Asbury and Addison, the two Duncansville iron workers, who were so terribly burned on Saturday night last, by rolling into a camp fire when asleep under the influence of liquor, near McCahan's Bluff, died at the county home in great agony. Death relieved the sufferings of Asbury last evening at 7:30 o'clock. He was aged 46 years. Addison died this morning at 5.20 o'clock, being aged 54 years. The two men went to Hollidaysburg last week from Clearfield and worked several turns at puddling at the Eleanor Iron works. While under the influence of liquor they started for Duncansville on Saturday night and on the way laid down beside a pile of ties near McCahan's bluff, and fell asleep. When they awoke their clothing was afire and the flesh had been burned off their legs to the knees, and other parts of their bodies had been burned in spots. They were removed to the county home. Their only known relative is Miss Fannie Hamil, of Altoona. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, April 11, 1907 HOLLIDAYSBURG. The remains of the Hamil brothers were taken yesterday to the home of their brother, John Hamil, in Duncansville, where the funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was made in Carson Valley cemetery. They are survived by two brothers and one sister, Martin Hamil of Harrisburg, John Hamil and Fannie Hamil of Duncansville. Addison has two daughters residing in Hollidaysburg.
