Hamilton, one of Roaring Spring's best known residents and business men, died yesterday afternoon at 3.30 o'clock, at the Nason hospital, death being caused by pneumonia following an attack of influenza. He was ill but a short time, having been admitted to the institution on Monday of this week. He was born December 17, 1878, the son of Baxter and Erna Hamilton, both deceased, and had resided in Roaring Spring and vicinity all his wife. He is survived by his wife and three sons and one daughter, the oldest son being confined to the hospital suffering with pneumonia. Mr. Hamilton was engaged in the livery business in Roaring Spring for many years, or until the advent of the automobile, after which he conducted the business with the automobile. He was also engaged in farming for a while and operated a store and the moving picture theatre at Roaring Spring. Mr. Hamilton was well known all over the county and in this city and his untimely death will be regretted by a large circle of friends. No arrangements had been made last night for the funeral, but will be announced later.
