All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ ANNA CLARA HAMILTON Anna Clara Hamilton, 97, a resident of Epworth Manor since February and formerly of Pennsylvania House, 2 W. 11th Street, Tyrone, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005 at the Manor. She was born April 11, 1908 in Sinking Valley, a daughter of Robert Emory and Bertha (Swenson) Gingerich. She married Ralph H. Hamilton on Sept. 12, 1930 at the Sinking Valley Presbyterian Church. He died Aug. 28, 1964. Surviving are two sisters, Marguerite M. Yothers, a resident of Moran's Home, Bellwood, Martha Miller of Tyrone and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Ronald, Kenneth and Robert and a sister Gladys Cristofic. Mrs. Hamilton retired in 1976 as a registered nurse from the Altoona Hospital, where she did private duty nursing, following 12 years of service. She was a member of the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Juniata. She was a 1927 graduate of Tyrone High School and a 1930 graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Altoona. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Feller Memorial Home with Rev. George Mauk officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Altoona. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.
