Saturday morning at 4 o'clock Associate Judge William L. Hamilton died at his home in Lock Haven, of heart failure, having been confined to his room for seven weeks. Wright school; Miss Jessie Hamilton, assistant librarian in he Mechanics' library, and William, who is in the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad company. He was a descendant of Revolutionary stock, his great-grandfather, Captain Alexander Hamilton, being killed by Indians in 1781, a short distance above Northumberland. In politics Mr. Hamilton was a republican. In 1861 he was elected prothonotary of Clinton county, and while he was renominated three years later, he was defeated, although he led his ticket. In 1896 he was elected associate judge, an office which he held at the time of his death. The funeral will take place at Lock Haven at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
