HAMILTON Died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. S. D. Mattern, in Pitcairn, yesterday morning, of diseases incident to old age, aged 70 years, 1 month and 24 days. He had been ailing for some years. He leaves two children, Mrs. S. D. Mattern, of Pitcairn, and W. H. Hamilton, of Tyrone. He is also survived by two brothers, David and J. C. Hamilton, and one sister, Mrs. W. D. Kelley, of Altoona, who has been an invalid for over a year. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church of Tyrone. He served in the late war as a private in company K, 187th Pennsylvania volunteers, and was discharged on account of gunshot wounds. The remains will be shipped east on day express Sunday. Interment will take place at Bellwood at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The deceased will be buried with the honors of war. Altoona Mirror, Saturday, February 26, 1898 WILLIAM O.
