THERESA HAMMER,

Wife of Stephen Hammer, died of paralysis at the residence of her
husband, 2117 Fifteenth avenue, at 7 o'clock on Monday evening. She was
born in Austria on February 22, 1836, and had been a resident of this
city for twenty-three years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
church. She is survived by her husband and three children - Frank,
Gustave and Mrs. Annie Baum, all of Altoona. The funeral will take
place on Thursday morning, the cortege the house at 8:30 and proceeding
to St. Mary's church, where the services will be held with mass at 9
o'clock. The interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
