HAMMOND.

  Ethel May, wife of James A. Hammond, died at 6 a.m. Sunday at her 
residence, 712 Second avenue, of pneumonia.  She was born in Glen 
White, Pa., March 25, 1893, and was a member of St. Luke's church.  She 
is survived by her husband and one son, James V., also her mother, Mrs. 
Sarah Rampling, and one brother, David B. Rampling, in France.  The 
funeral will be held Wednesday morning with private interment in 
Calvary cemetery.
