HANKS A native of Bedford county, but a guest at the Methodist home for the Aged in Tyrone since July 31, 1937, died at the home last evening. She was a daughter of Albin and Mary Harclerode Arnold and was born on March 6, 1869. Her husband, Ambrose R. Hanks, died in 1935. Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Roy and Neal Hanks and Mrs. Stella M. Amick, all of Altoona, and these brothers and sisters: Ray Arnold and Ella R. Arnold, both of Philadelphia, Mrs. Josephine Replogle of Oaks, Pa., Mrs. Edith Swartz of Oklahoma City, Okla., Ralph Arnold of Long Beach, Calif., Chester Arnold of Juniata and Mrs. Alice Collins of Waterloo, Ia. HANKS - Funeral services for Fannie C. Hanks, a guest of the Methodist Home of Tyrone, will be held at the Methodist Home at 9.30 Friday morning, Rev. R. Skyles Oyler of Simpson church officiating. Interment will be made at Burning Bush cemetery south of Bedford. Friends are being received at the Glass funeral home at Tyrone. Altoona Mirror, January 23, 1940
