HANKS Of Cedar St., Sylvan Hills, died unexpectedly in his home at 5.25 a.m. yesterday. He was born in Bedford County July 19, 1898, a son of Ambrose and Fannie (Arnold) Hanks, and Oct. 10, 1919, in Cumberland, Md., married Bertha M. Russell who died Sept. 5 of this year. Surviving are five children, Mrs. Helen Dell and Mrs. Shirley Hoover of Duncansville, Mrs. Betty Hoover of Cross Keys, Robert E. of Ambler and Donald A. of Hatfield, Pa., and 13 grandchildren. Mr. Hanks retired in 1963 as a pipefitter for the P.R.R. Friends will be received in the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m. today.
