HANLEY, Wife of George Hanley, died at her home on East Main street, Roaring Spring, early Saturday evening. Death was due to a stroke of apoplexy. She had been in ill health for the past two years. Mrs. Hanley was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Hite, both deceased, and was born at Claysburg, March 25, 1855. In 1866 she moved with her parents to Roaring Spring, where in 1869 she became the wife of George Hanley. She was a life-long member of the Methodist church. Surviving are her husband, two sons and two daughters: Harrison of Akron, O., Mrs. Jennie Mock of Altoona and Sherman and Maud at home. One granddaughter survives and the following brothers and sister: L. O. Bowers, S. O., Howard and Mrs. Annie Bowers, all of Altoona, and Grant and Peter S. of Roaring Spring. The funeral service will be held in the Methodist church at Roaring Spring, at 2 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon. Interment will be made in the Greenlawn cemetery.
