He was born June 28, 1887, in Roaring Spring, a son of George and Elizabeth (Hite) Hanley, and on May 10, 1918, in Richmond, Va., married Alice McGee. Surviving is his wife. Mr. Hanley was a member of the Bare Memorial Church of God, where he had served as a deacon and was a member of the Men's Bible Class; a life member of Woodbury Lodge, F&AM, and a member of Williamsport Consistory and Jaffa Shrine Temple. He was a veteran of Army Engineer service in World War I and a life member of the Roaring Spring American Legion Post. Mr. Hanley retired in 1956 from the Roaring Spring Blank Book Co. after 53 years of service. Friends will be received in the Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
