He was born at Williamsburg on Dec. 6, 1869, a son of John T. and Julia (Flud) Hare. He was retired five years ago after eighteen years' service with the Pittsburgh Steel company at Monessen, Pa. He was married to Emma Campbell Hare on Oct. 12, 1900. Surviving are the wife, one brother, Orville Hare, and one nephew, Rev. John C Hare of this city. He was a member of the Third Presbyterian church. Friends will be received at the home of Rev. [John C.] Hare, 125 Fifth avenue after 8 o'clock tonight. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., September 28, 1939 HARE - Funeral services for William Holmes Hare of 125 Fifth Avenue will be held at the home at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon by Rev.
