HARLAND

  Mrs. Elizabeth (Hite) Harland died at her home at Duncansville, 
yesterday morning at 3:40 o'clock of diseases incident to old age.  She 
was born in Bedford county May 15, 1833, removed from their to Juniata 
township but for over 40 years was a resident of Duncansville.  Her 
husband, Otho Harland, preceded her to the grave fifteen years ago.  
She is survived by the following children: David and Samuel of 
Duncansville, and Mrs. Annie Harland Barker of Ohio.  Mrs. Harland was 
on of the best known and highly respected residents of Duncansville, a 
good mother and neighbor.  She was a member of the Lutheran church.  
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and 
interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.
