All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ EMMA HARMON Mrs. Emma Harmon, wife of Henry Harmon, died at the residence of her son-in-law, Anthony Bender 1324 Third Ave, at twenty minutes of 11 o'clock yesterday morning from the effects of a paralytic stroke. Deceased was born in Wurtemburg, Germany January 6, 1827 and had lived in Altoona ever since 1859. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons - John B., Frank and William H. Harmon, and two daughters - Mrs. Anthony Bender and Mrs. L. G. Hoover, all of whom reside in the city. Twenty-four grandchildren also survive. The funeral will take place at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning to proceed from the late residence to St. Mary's Catholic Church from which the deceased has been a member since the organization of the congregation. Requium solemn high mass will be celebrated and the interment will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery. Altoona Morning Tribune, May 1, 1893
