Harmon, Jr., 614 Fifth Ave., Juniata, formerly of Tyrone, died at 1 a.m. today, unexpectedly, at the Bald Eagle Campgrounds, following a heart attack, where the family was vacationing. He was born April 7, 1912 at Altoona, a son of Joseph W. and Laura T. Wilcox Harmon. He was twice married, first to Fae Owens, Dec. 27, 1939. Se died April 12, 1963. He was married to Regina Brubaker Jan. 3, 1964. Surviving are the widow; the following sons and daughters: Joseph W. III and Mary Elizabeth of Altoona; Mrs. Daniel (Linda Fae) Naylor of Kalamazoo, Mich.; Robert William, at home; a stepson, Brian Brubaker, at home; four grandsons and a brother, John H. Harmon of Tyrone. He was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church of Juniata. He had retired May 20, 1975 from the Pa. Transportation Co. after 30 years of service as an electrician in the Maintenance Dept. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the Anderson-Denny Post 4559 Veterans of Foreign Wars of Tyrone, was a veteran of World War 2, having served in the infantry in the European Theater. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Getz and Searer Funeral Home, Tyrone, in charge of the Rev. Ralph Z. Ebersole. Burial will be in the Blair Memorial Park with military honors. Friends will be received at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the service. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., Friday, June 18, 1976
